The Store & Our Collection

Do you sell second-hand or pre-loved records?

No. Every item we sell, whether it is an in-stock record, a CD, or a request, is 100% brand new, unplayed, and factory fresh. We do not deal in second-hand goods. (Please note: items will arrive factory-sealed unless you have requested our Seamless Shipping service, where we carefully unseal the record for safer transit).

Why are some records limited to one per person?

As an independent store, our allocations on highly sought-after releases can be tight. To keep things fair and give as many collectors as possible a chance to secure the music they love, we limit these specific releases to one unit per customer.

You Spin It, We Stock It (Bespoke Sourcing)

What is the bespoke sourcing service?

Whether you are hunting for a specific variant or an iconic classic, we use our global network of distributors to track it down for you.

I can’t find the record or CD I want. Can you order it for me?

Absolutely! If the item is currently in press with our global distributors, we will do everything we can to track it down. Since we only sell 100% brand-new items, we cannot source records that are long out of print and only available second-hand.

Can I request a very specific pressing?

Yes. If you are looking for a specific pressing, please include the product barcode in your request. If you are simply looking for a title or artist, we will search our global distributors and present you with the best available options.

How long does the service take?

We source worldwide, which means the hunt takes a dedicated effort. We typically ask for ten days to check our global distributor networks and review their weekly allocations. If we cannot secure it within that window, we will let you know so you aren't left waiting.

Do I have to pay upfront to use the service?

No. You only pay for the record once we have successfully secured it. We will send you a direct link to check out.

How long do I have to purchase once my record is found?

Because vinyl allocations move incredibly fast, we ask that you complete your purchase within 48 hours of receiving your checkout link. After 48 hours, we may have to release the item back to the distributor.

Shipping & Pre-Orders

How do you package your records?

We currently ship only within the UK using "The Pride Protector" mailers, specially designed to keep your vinyl safe from corner dings and transit damage. All orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked.

What is the "Seamless Shipping Option"?

For collectors who want absolute peace of mind, you can request Seamless Shipping at checkout. We will carefully unseal the record, check it for factory defects, and ship the vinyl securely outside the sleeve to prevent seam splits during transit.

When will I receive the items I have pre-ordered?

Most new vinyl releases land on a Friday. We aim to dispatch pre-orders on Wednesday or Thursday so your new pressing arrives as close to release day as possible.

Why has the release date changed?

Release dates are set by the record labels and distributors, and they can sometimes shift unexpectedly. We update our website the moment we are notified of a delay.

Please keep our All-In-One Rule in mind: if your order contains both in-stock items and pre-orders, your entire order will be safely held and shipped together once the final record arrives. I've ordered a limited edition, am I guaranteed to get it?

In the vast majority of cases, yes. However, occasionally record labels will "cut" our allocation without prior warning. We fulfil all limited editions strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. On the rare occasion a distributor cuts our supply and we cannot fulfil your order, we will notify you and issue a 100% immediate refund.

Returns, Cancellations & Faulty Items

Can I change or cancel my order?

You may cancel an order before dispatch by emailing hello@spinitproud.co.uk. Please note that all "change of mind" cancellations or returns are subject to a 5% Admin Fee (minimum £2.00 per item) to cover non-refundable processing and restocking costs.

Can I avoid the Admin Fee?

Yes. You can opt for The Gift Card Choice. If you choose to receive a Spin It Proud Gift Card for your refund instead of cash back to your original payment method, we will waive the 5% Admin Fee entirely.

What is your return policy?

In line with UK law, you have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return for a change of mind. Items must be unopened and in their original factory seal. (Note: If you utilised our Seamless Shipping Option, the item is considered unsealed and is ineligible for a change-of-mind return).

What if my record arrives damaged or skipping?

Please report any technical faults or transit damage within 48 hours of delivery to hello@spinitproud.co.uk. Include photos of the damage or a short video of the fault (e.g., a skip). We will provide a pre-paid return label and a full refund or replacement. No admin fees apply to faulty or damaged goods.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! We offer Spin It Proud Digital Gift Cards, giving the music enthusiast in your life access to our complete catalogue of products and bespoke sourcing service.

Do you post out physical gift cards?

No, we keep things instant and eco-friendly. All of our gift cards are digital and delivered directly via email.

How long do digital Gift Cards take to arrive?

Digital gift cards are typically delivered to your inbox within 90 minutes of purchase.

Can I send a gift card to someone for their birthday?

Yes. You can either enter the recipient's email address at checkout so it goes straight to them, or have it sent to your own email address so you can forward it on to them when the moment is right.

How do I spend my gift card?

Simply enter your unique digital code at checkout. It can be applied to anything in our boutique.

How long is my gift card valid for?

Our gift cards are valid for 2 years from the date of issue.

My gift card code isn't working. What should I do?
